Hey!
While I had WireShark running the yesterday, two of my machines did this a few times:
wireshark wrote: | takua.mydomain.com aragorn.mydomain.com TCP adobeserver-1 > netbios-ssn {SYN}
aragorn.mydomain.com takua.mydomain.com TCP netbios-ssn > adobeserver-1 {SYN, ACK} |
What is "adobeserver"? "Takua" is running W2k. "Aragorn" is running Gentoo. I don't think I have ANYTHING from Adobe installed on either machine. The interesting thing is that was netbios stuff, not DNS lookups or something. So I guess it's coming from the W2k box, but there were a few of those messages (that I didn't think to save...) that originated from the Gentoo machine (the W2k machine replied with the ACK).
Sadly, Google hasn't been of much help other than a bizillion hits just saying:
Code: | 1102 Tcp adobeserver-1 ADOBE SERVER 1
1102 Udp adobeserver-1 ADOBE SERVER 1 |
So, does anyone know what this is? I'm fairly certain it's nothing to worry about, but, it's got me stumped.
Thanx,
