Hi, I am loosing my mind for this hardware. Please help.

I tried Gentoo Live CD 2007.0 but after 10/15 seconds laptop just shutdowns. I watched dmesg and it says APIC error a few times and shutdowned. Then I added to boot command line: noapic nolapic acpi=off .... everything there is but still it shutdowns.

Then I burned KDE 4 Live CD Beta3 (which I am running now and the laptop works ) if I type: cat /proc/interrupts it says ERR: 37 and go on but still if I look dmesg there is no APIC error. So with KDE4 live cd it works. I mounted partitions and did chroot and I tried to install Gentoo. But when i rebooted laptop new problems came.

In kernel 2.6.22 I enabled Serial ATA support for Intel and disabled ATA/ATAPI .... but It will not even boot it says
VFS: Cannot open root device.

Any Idea I think SATA is not fully supported by kernel. I tried kernel:

2.6.23
2.6.24
2.6.16
2.6.19

but still it will not boot or even work. Please help me solve this.

This chipset should support AHCI.

If AHCI is enabled in BIOS you need AHCI driver instead of Intel SATA.
