|
|
I have a question about dragging smth with pointer on laptop - when I used external mouse, I just pressed middle button and did drag, but now - how to do it on laptop, that has touchpad and trackpoint? (I already configured V & H scrolling, but, when I press middle button on laptop, pointer freezes for scrolling!) |

Not sure I got you correctly, but to drag'n'drop using a touchpad, you usually have to make something like a double clic where you dont release the second clic immediatly. In other words, you mousedown-mouseup-mousedown on your thing, then drag it, then mouseup to drop it. |

No, I mean drag-and-drop with middle mouse button in which case windows don't change focus! |

Oh, ok. This behaviour is DM/WM specific, IIRC KDE does that... But my fluxbox does not!
Anyway, you can emulate the middle button by clicking both left and right buttons. This requires a directive in your X configuration:
xorg.conf: | Section "InputDevice"
[...]
Option "Emulate3Buttons" "true"
[...]
EndSection | Hope this helps. |
