su debian c'era un l10n -_- ma con emerge -s non ho visto niente...
su openoffice.org ho trovato build localizzate, ma per i sorgenti? |

Non vorrei dire stupidate, ma OpenOffice dovrebbe essere come gnome, ossia si localizza a seconda delle variabili.
CMQ sono soggetto a confusione, non uso openoffice da tempo immemore...

Dando una rapida occhiata ad uno degli ebuild di openoffice (la versione 1.1-qualcosa) mi sembra che ci pensi lui a recuperare la lingua preferita dalle variabili d'ambiente e settarla / installarla / selezionarla in openoffice.
Questo imho, non uso openoffice quindi non ho riscontri pratici (l'ho installato a mio padre su debian tempo fa, e li ci voleva il pacchetto in più che dicevi, in gentoo a quanto pare no, figo eh?  ). |

io ho settato la lingua in /etc/profile...
speriamo funzioni come dici tu perchè se penso a dover ricompilare openoffice   |

Che la versione bin è quella binaria, quindi già compilata, mentre l'altra è quella da sorgente, quindi da compilare. |

Cmq la versione openoffice-bin dovrebbe essere solo in inglese. Sul sito tedesco di gentoo (gentoo.de) c'è un ebuild per la versione tedesca di openoffice-bin. Io ho provato (senza successo) a farne uno per la versione italiana. Se ci reisco lo rendo pubblico!
