How do I get to the Gnome 2 control center to switch window managers? I can't find it anywhere.

Two ways:

1. open a terminal and type gnome-control-center
2. open nautilus and type in the statusbar: start-here:

I don't see an option there to select which Window Manager you want to use. I just installed Sawfish and want to switch to it, but can't find the Window Manager Swithing tool or the Control Center like Gnome 1.4 had.

If you install sawfish it should just appear in the Applications >Preferences menu on your top panel. The same applies for metacity.

There's another solution: emerge gtk-theme-switch

I couldn't figure it out either, so I logged into #gentoo (after searching with google for over an hour) and asked around. rvdp gave me a tip:

killall sawfish && metacity. Logout and save session

I tried it, and when I logged in again I had NO WM! I was able to start a term and start metacity (I had sawfish before, but wanted to try metacity).

I have no idea how you SUPOOSED to change WM's in Gnome 2, but this way seemed to work.
