Well, it took almost a week but now I have a stable gentoo install. I also have gnome and kde up and running. Now I just need to work on my 3d acceleration and sound.
But right now I am trying to install Firebird. I did emerge mozilla-firebird-cvs. Now I have files relating to Mozilla Firebird in:
/usr/portage/dev-db
/usr/portage/distfiles/cvs-src/mozilla
/usr/portage/net-www/
I have gotten this far but I don't know how to install it. I think it has something to do with an ebuild. lol, I am a newb.
Anyways, I am impessed by Gentoo linux, it has the responsiveness that other prebuilt distros lack. |

Yeah, I already had "ZAxisMapping" "4 5" in my config. When I use xev it shows that all my buttons are working but shows no activity for the scroll wheel.
btw, I have it set to "auto" protocal, is there a certain protocal i should be using for my logitech mouse?
And I still need help with Firebird. |

you said you did "emerge mozilla-firebird-cvs", doing that includes installing it! that procedes to the download of the sources it needs and then it compiles them, so if you hadn't problems in that emerge, you should have it installed.
Try running the command "MozillaFirebird" _________________ "Codito, ergo sum..." |
