fluxbox mostly but when iam feeling perkish i use gnome. Iam a sucker for eye candy :P

I am using Fluxbox, that said I am not that much of a gamer.
I don't think I get any performance boost with fluxbox though. It's just that I find it way more eye-candy than anything else (once properly configured!)

Why?
Im asking because I just installed gentoo and I'm emerging KDE right now. I'll prolly use this box for gaming.

mostly Gnome, but if i really really really need the memory (only 256MB max :cry: ) i run kahakai (thanks to breakmygentoo.net kahakai-0.2-ebuild) :P

I was using KDE before Fluxbox. It's a great desktop/window manager. I just find it a bit less eye candy than fluxbox and too "heavy".
If you have a good machine, I doubt it will have any impact on your performances though.

e17 with gtk2 apps and some kde stuff (konquerror sometimes and kdevelop beta)
kde eyecandy suxx =((
i like gtk2 a lot more
