Hello all,
I saw here in the forum some posts with following code example: On my system doesn't exist genlop but qlop and it does exact the same.
What I'm missing?
Thanks in advance. _________________ The 666 is behind the detail. |

What you're missing is a package. emerge -av app-portage/genlop to get it. _________________ Plants are pithy, brooks tend to babble--I'm content to lie between them.

Hello timeBandit,
thanks for your answer.
I've searched for packages which contain genlop Code: | equery belongs -e genlop | But without success.wants merge 13 packages. I'm a little bit confused.
And where is the difference between both of them? (genlop/qlop)
Thanks in advance. _________________ The 666 is behind the detail. |

qlop is part of app-portage/portage-utils
genlop is a different app.
If emerge genlop wants to emerge 13 packages is because genlop needs them.
Code: | equery belongs -e genlop
[ Searching for file(s) genlop in *... ]
app-portage/genlop-0.30.8-r1 (/usr/bin/genlop)

I don't know why you didn't get a successful result with that.
You pretty much had the answer already _________________ Linux Registered User #319092
