|
|
Hello,
when I start my gentoo, he pauses several seconds before and after printing "Activating mdev". This happens since a kernel update (if I remember right).
I have a gentoo amd64 system on a Intel P4 machine. I changed nothing in the dev-configuration and therefore should be using udev. One of my 2 harddisks has a little Windows FAT partition, the rest is a linux lvm2 partition, the other harddisk only has a lvm2 partition. I have a lvm2-logical-device for /, /home/ and swap.
Does someone know how to make the boot process quicker? |

Thank you very much. Apparently I overlooked this topic.
I'll try the tips and answer there, If I get some problems.
