Im trying to reinstall Gentoo after a recent emerge -u world f00bared by system.
I am trying to install the unstable branch but portmap keeps failing; it complains about an 'undefined reference to errno'.
I have found a post related to this but the user fixed it by trying to compile the unstable version of portmap (which I am trying to install anyway).
I'm having a hell of a time here lately with this box... can anyone offer any assistance? |

the portmap problem seems to be related to glibc 2.3.2. portmap 5b-r7 compiles cleanly with glibc 2.3.2 (which i am using). i also hit this problem, so i know that this at least -should- work because it worked for me. |
