I recently acquired a Sun Chimera PC-on-a-card. According to Google, it has either a 400, 600 or 733Mhz AMD/Intel cpu on it (along with the necessary hw to make it useful). It was designed to run windows, and I understand getting linux to run on it requires jumping through hoops. Running it with linux as the host OS is another matter. Is it possible? Or will I have to install Solaris on my Ultra 60 to get it to work?
Thanks
[edit]
After further research, it seems noone else has come up with an opensource driver for this card. Not that it matters anyway, since after powering it up, I discovered that the cpu fan was dying a loud, painful death. So until I can get the hsf replaced, its going into my cards bin. |
