The pcx 2200 works fine in usb using the CDCEther module in 2.4.21_rc8-gss and probably kernel v. 2.4.21 in general. I could never get this modem working using usb in 2.4.20 or 2.4.19.
Now I have a free pci slot for a decent vidcard!
