Ciao,
ho appena aggiornato apache e php alle ultime versioni stabili...e quindi mi son detto: "Aggiorniamo anche phppgadmin!".
Tuttavia, ho ricevuto questo strano messaggio:
Code:

 * vhosts USE flag not set - auto-installing using webapp-config
 * This is an upgrade
 * phppgadmin-4.0.1 is already installed - upgrading
 * Running //usr/sbin/webapp-config -U -h localhost -u root -d /phppgadmin phppgadmin 4.1.3
* Upgrading phppgadmin-4.0.1 to phppgadmin-4.1.3
*   Installed by root on 2007-01-18 18:59:03
*   Config files owned by 0:0
* Fatal error: Your configuration file sets the server type "Apache"
* Fatal error: but the corresponding package does not seem to be installed!
* Fatal error: Please "emerge >=net-www/apache-1.3" or correct your settings.
* Fatal error(s) - aborting
 * Running //usr/sbin/webapp-cleaner -p -C phppgadmin
 * Unused versions of phppgadmin detected.
 * To clean, run the following command:
 * emerge -Cav =phppgadmin-3.5.4
phppgadmin-4.1.3
>>> dev-db/phppgadmin-4.1.3 merged.

>>> No packages selected for removal by clean
>>> Auto-cleaning packages...

>>> No outdated packages were found on your system.

 * Messages for package dev-db/phppgadmin-4.1.3:

 * (config) htdocs/conf/config.inc.php
 * (info) /usr/portage/dev-db/phppgadmin/files/postinstall-en.txt (lang: en)
 * vhosts USE flag not set - auto-installing using webapp-config
 * This is an upgrade
 * phppgadmin-4.0.1 is already installed - upgrading
 * Running //usr/sbin/webapp-config -U -h localhost -u root -d /phppgadmin phppgadmin 4.1.3
 * GNU info directory index is up-to-date.

Il fatto bello e' che in realta' ho apache, che parte normalmente, e non mi ha abortito l'aggiornamento a quanto pare...o meglio e' continuato ma male (phppgadmin continua a risultare la versione 4.0.1)

EDIT: aggiornando all'ultima versione webapp-config e rilanciando emerge, son riuscito ad ottenere la nuova versione working :)

forse qualcosa scazzato nell'ebuild c'è se le versioni precedenti ti hanno funzionato senza problemi. Io posterei il problema su bugzilla.
