I am looking for an open source partitioning program/frontend similar to what is used in a redhat or mandrake installation. What is a good one to use that doesn't require X (I would prefer ncurses)? Also, where do I get the source for such a program? Thanks! |

Well maybe it's not exaclty what you are looking for but there's 'parted'. It's also in the Gentoo LiveCD if you want to try it quickly. _________________ I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend to the death your right to say it. |

Do you mean cfdisk? It is part of the sys-apps/util-linux package. If you've installed that package the source is in:
usr/portage/distfiles/util-linux-2.11y.tar.bz2 _________________ After Perl everything else is just assembly language. |

No, I need a way to not only make the partitions but also choose their mountpoints and export them to system variables. Similar to what Redhat's installer GUI partitioning tool does. |
