Cyrus Problem

Hi List,
I have just installed a test Gentoo server with Postfix+Cyrus Imapd.
I checked my cyrus.conf and all it's ok.
The impad.conf is minimal, no probs on that.
BUT... I cannot login using plain IMAP.. I ca only use IMAPS, every time I try plain IMAP the server returns this error: "Login only available under a layer". I checked the man pages.. but no clue on this error.
Can you please help me on this?
