So, it tells me to update portage. So I try. Sed 4.1.5 is a dependency.

So it tries to do it... I believe it's the configure stage.
Code:
config.status: creating po/POTFILES
config.status: creating po/Makefile
config.status: executing gettext-fix commands
sed: 1: "install_sh=/var/tmp/por ...": command i expects \ followed by text
sed: 1: "install_sh=/var/tmp/por ...": command i expects \ followed by text
make  all-recursive
Making all in intl
make[2]: *** No rule to make target `all'.  Stop.
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make: *** [all] Error 2

!!! ERROR: sys-apps/sed-4.1.5 failed.
!!! Function src_compile, Line 57, Exitcode 2
!!! build failed

Any ideas? PLZ? I have the very latest version of Xcode (as in, downloaded about an hour ago) just FYI.

Thanks!

I ran into the same problem; funny how sed is used to configure sed 8O
Anyway, downgrading to sed-4.1.4 works for me.
