Configuration files

Now that I have Gentoo installed, up and running. I decided to sync portage, when I did that now, it is telling me that 6 config files in '/etc' need updating. How should I go about that?

Try to read man pages of etc-update and dispatch-conf commands. The second one is probably more suitable to use for beginners.
