emerge kdebase-meta complains that <sys-fs/udev-115-r1 conflicts with "another package" . However emerge -demerg "<sys-fs/udev-115-r1" gives a threatening message about breaking the system. How do I get around this?

It seems I'm not the only one with this problem. The post entitled "That! blocked package issue... huh" was about the same problem.
emerge -C udev && emerge device-mapper udev
(ignore the threatening message)
and kde now compiles happily. |

try upgrading the system by emerge -Du system and dont forget to etc-update
all udev rules you have to accept. _________________ reach out a little bit more to catch it (DON'T BELIEVE the advocate part under my user name) |
