Make progress meter

Does anyone know of a Make progress meter that can tell how far into the build Make is at any given time? Sometimes when I'm half way through Mozilla I'd like to know how much time is left.

Take a look at this thread.
It's a progress bar for emerge, but maybe with little tweaking it could be used with make as well.

(Haven't used it and I have no idea how it works, as I prefer to watch the oldstyle output.
