I have a very strange problem with Quanta and Kate. Both editors do not recognise PHP files and thus do not properly syntax highlight them.
Instead, the files are recognised as HTML files. I've defined *.php as PHP files though in Quanta and Konqueror. I always have to manually select the PHP highlighting in Quanta which is very annoying.
Any idea? |

What versions are you using?
They both work for me, Quanta 3.1.1, Kate 2.1. KDE 3.1.1a |

This seems to be a KDE problem related to the File Associatens setting from Konqueror. I've set up PHP files as text/x-php with extensions *.php, *.php3 and *.phtml. In Quanta PHP syntax highlighting is set up for the same mime type and file extensions but it does not work |
