I can't remeber what program it was that automated the config file update in /etc after a program was emerged.
I just emerged portage 2.0.1 and I now have 2 files in /etc that need updating.
I know it is posted here somewhere but, I can't find it anywhere. |

You're probably refering to etc-update (in gentoolkit), but it is not automatic - you still have to make the decisions yourself. _________________ There's someone in my head but it's not me - Pink Floyd |

Keep in mind that some people have reported difficulties with etc-update, including having their /etc directory completely borked. Keep that in mind when using it. (make backups, etc.)

That is the exact package I was talking about. I know you have to make decisions still, but at least it is alot easier when you have like 24 of them to update. 2 isn't that bad, but I can get pretty tedious at time when you have a lot of files to look at.
Thanks, |
