I use this chip and someday will get a good video card when I really want 3D.
For the last word from the author of the driver See: http://www.winischhofer.eu/linuxsispart4.shtml
Quote: | And for the last time: There is no DRI/OpenGL (hardware accelerated 3D) support for the SiS 315/65x/74x/330/66x/760/761/340/XGI. |

Hi,
I have this card
01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: Silicon Integrated Systems [SiS] 661/741/760 PCI/AGP or 662/761Gx PCIE VGA Display Adapter
and when I activate de DRI in xorg.conf, Xorg log tell me
(NI) SIS(0): DRI not supported on this chipset
(II) AIGLX: Screen 0 is not DRI capable
So, without the Direct Rendering Infrastructure only 2D acceleration is possible. _________________ Paul |

Hello,
How many of us are using this SiS card and willing DRI ?
ATI, Nvidia and Intel have drivers. Why not SiS ? _________________ Kernel : 2.6.32 - E17 - OpenRC-0.61 - gcc-4.4.3 |
