|

Hi, I tried to install this game, because it looks really great.
here is the error, when I try to start the installer ./rolauncher:
Code: | ./rolauncher: error while loading shared libraries: libexpat.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory |
Unfortunately most of the links I could find about the installer are in spanish (I don't speak spanish)
anyway, I found this one: http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=1617&highlight=libexpat
I checked /usr/lib and looks fine to me for "libexpat.so.1". I have the version 2.0.1 of expat installed:
Code: |
/usr/lib/libexpat.a
/usr/lib/libexpat.la
/usr/lib/libexpat.so -> libexpat.so.1.5.2
/usr/lib/libexpat.so.1 -> libexpat.so.1.5.2
/usr/lib/libexpat.so.1.5.2
|
Has anybody an idea how to fix this? I have found another thread about Regnum and libexpat but he had the game already installled...

What I did was the hint in the ebuild:
Code: | revdep-rebuild -X --library libexpat.so.0 |
This reinstalled some packages (mostly gtk).
I'll try it without the --library libexpat.so.0 today in the evening (when I am home).
//edit: I found a way to make it running in their forum, but very hidden and I cannot find the link anymore. Here is a post that was helpful with the 64bit client.
anyway, here are the clients for 32bit and 64bit:
32bit-client
64bit-client
extract the archive and then start the rolauncher with the following command to disable the memory-check:
Code: | MALLOC_CHECK_=0 ./rolauncher |
works great here and no crash during 5 hours playing |
