Fun and games with openssl and revdep-rebuild

Did an emerge -Dup world this morning and openssl-0.9.8e-r3 was emerged. Looked in the elogs afterwards and the one for openssl told me to:

# revdep-rebuild --library libcrypto.so.0.9.7

and

# revdep-rebuild --library libssl.so.0.9.7

The second one said nothing to rebuild, but the first wanted to rebuild just one package - openssl-0.9.8e-r3

Just for the hell of it I did, looked at the new elog and, guess what?

Does this happen very often?
