Hello,
A while back I burned a bunch of archive CDs to free up space on my laptop. I now want to copy those files down to my Gentoo desktop. The problem is that KDE/Gentoo is only seeing the 8 character (plus extention) filenames instead of the longer filenames that the original files had. Here is my fstab listing for my CD & DVD drives:
/dev/cdroms/cdrom1 /cdrom iso9660 noauto,user 0 0
/dev/cdroms/cdrom0 /dvd iso9660 noauto,user 0 0
Anyone have an idea on how to get my box to recognize the longer filenames?
Thanks! _________________ nadams (at) ieee (dot) org |

Thanks for the tip. Long filenames are now supported on my CD/DVD drives. _________________ nadams (at) ieee (dot) org |
