That's really simple.
Take a closer look to the ebuild code and you will see that portage 2.1.3.19 produce the right code.
Well, that's such a thing with unstable arch.
The stable portage do the things right.

I filled a bug report for portage. So we'll see if we use trunk or not at the end of ${ESVN_CO_DIR}.
As a workaround, stable arch users should remove the "/trunk" from the 55 and 56. lines. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...

I fixed and updated the ebuild. Please redownload it. It includes both r17 and r18. Now r18 uses rsync as "maloc" suggested at C::B forums. Thus it uses update_revision.sh script that comes with C::B sources. But r17 emulates this script within the ebuild. They both must work for all archs. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...

That file comes with app-admin/eselect-wxwidgets.
If eselecting wxwidgets v2.8.7.x does not work, then try :
Code: |
emerge -va1 app-admin/eselect-wxwidgets
|
But, you have already solved your problem. I like that quote;

Code::Blocks finally hit a release. (V8.02)
Do you think there will be an ebuild soon?
(I have no problem continuing to use this awesome svn-ebuild, though...) _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.

I believe, it won't take long to see v8.02 in portage. You may want to use the ebuild for v8.02 at bugzilla.
For bleeding edge stay tuned with the svn ebuild. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...

Trying to update codeblocks, get error:
svn: Can't connect to host 'svn.berlios.de': Connection refused
I try dev-util/codeblocks-9999-r18 and dev-util/codeblocks-9999-r19.
In browser http://svn.berlios.de works fine. _________________ Regards, _Andrey_

I find svn:// is not accessable.
Maybe ESVN_REPO_URI="http://svn.berlios.de/svnroot/repos/codeblocks/trunk" is better.
BTW: the icc is not automatly found. I wonder why. _________________ Galaxy |

I don't know which is better, svn://svn or svn://http. But I am sure svn access will be fixed soon at berlios servers.
For icc, the trunk C::B can detect Intel C/C++ compiler 9.x or 10.x (I did not tried).
Look at Code::Blocks to use the Intel C++ Compiler. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...

The new -r20 ebuild works like a charm, thank you very much!
But I have got one question: Why have the useflags been stripped? I don't care about "monolithic" and "xrc", but why is "unicode" gone as well?
emerge update shows: Code: | USE="contrib -debug (-monolithic%) -static (-unicode%*) -vanilla (-xrc%)" |

Hi,Yamakuzure. The configure script for Code::blocks does not have options that xrc, monolithic and unicode useflags did provide before. They are obsolete. And c::b is unicode by default. C::b svn sources uses wxGTK-2.8 which is unicode only. If you need an ansi c::b, you need wxGTK-2.6. But I don't think c.:b compiles with wxGTK-2.6 for a long time. So to keep the ebuild clean, they are removed. _________________ Anyway it's all the same at the end...

oh, I work with unicode-only systems, anyway. I just was curious.
btw.: Has anybody witnessed crashes while saving files with codeblocks? Sometimes (well, 3 or 4 times per hour) codeblocks just freezes when I save my project, files, workspace, whatever. Luckily it freezes *after* the files are saved, but these restarts are quite unnerving.
I already tried to delete all config files and let the actual (Revision 5404) code::blocks write new ones... _________________ Important German:- "Aha" - German reaction to pretend that you are really interested while giving no f*ck.
