hi-
im running into a problem with the gnome live cd and my 600Mhz ibook,
all of the hardware is recognized but i cant seem to get dhcp up vi a dhclient.
im getting returned 'send_packet: Network is down' and no link light on the switch.
i know its not a bad cable/port because its working in os x. the kernel is using
sunmac as eth0.

I was able to get network up, not manually loading any modules by editing /etc/conf.d/net, uncommenting
and then doing

rc
