|
|
Hi. I love using the text-based mp3 player mp3blaster. It's my favorite one.
But it's not working right in gentoo.
I, of course, used emerge to download and install it and its dependecies and everything seems to be in order but none of the Fx keys are working. F1 is to add a file to the playlist, and so on... but none of the Fx register a thing. Nothing. Like I never touched a key. The numeric keys/functions work (5 is to stop, 2 is to play, 3 to skip to the next track) and Q to quit works... but the Fx keys/functions don't at all. Nada. Nil.
Any thoughts gurus?
Thanks in advance.

Have you tried editing the sample config file that comes with the package. It has all of the key bindings and maybe that is undefined. _________________ What boots up must come down. |

Could this be a function (hehe, pun) of your window manager? |

Nah... I doubt it. I'm using WindowMaker and I've used mp3blaster in several diff. window managers before.
I DO know that mp3blaster doesn't work correctly with a certain terminal (rxvt perhaps?) but this problem persists across all terminal-types (xterm, eterm, gnome-terminal...).
I'll try to look at the config file. Thanks.
