non riesco a settare ad on il supporto dma sui miei harddisk...
ho compilato nel kernel il supporto per il chipset sis5513 ma nonostante tutto hdparm continua a dirmi operation not permitted...
vi posto lspci e hdparm

se stai usando i nuovi driver è ovvio (il riferimento è sdparm) se stai usando i vecchi dovresti abilitare l'opzione ignore bit nonricordoquale (93? verificare e riportare) che forza il driver ad ignorare la segnalazione di un canale hardware non affidabile/disturbato.

niente da fare ho provato ad abilitare l'opzione nel kernel ma dà sempre lo stesso errore

ok ho risolto sbagliavo a copiare l'immagine del kernel ricompilato ccosi mi caricava sempre il kernel vecchio senza quindi i driver...
