When I try to time an emerge via atd it always fails while trying to set the title of the terminal. Because when started by atd there is no term so its title cannot be set and emerge dies with a couple of Python error messages.
Is there a command line option to suppress this behaviour? Any other workaround?

OK, some searching on https://bugs.gentoo.org should have been done before posting this. Both bugs 21416 and 21430 talk about this and it will be resolved with the next release of portage (48-r1).
