For openshot 1.4.3 zugaina lists the r3pek, luman, sabayon and ikelos overlays.
I'd like some help in choosing which one to use
Edit : I see now that there is an ebuild in bugzilla .... think I'd be better off going with that till it gets added to portage?
Thanks |

Sorry, I know nothing of openshot. As for which ebuild to choose... have a look at their ChangeLog. See which one has been doing more work and bugfixes... Something that I have found over the years, is that often an ebuild is copied from one overlay to another overlay rather than just install the other overlay and get all the other pkgs that come with that other overlay. _________________ Brian

I tried the 'sabayon-overlay' for this some month ago ... well, it worked, but I had some crashes with OpenShot. I have no idea if this is related to the overlay or if OpenShot itself is broken/unstable. _________________ - born to create drama -

Openshot itself is unstable.
The author freely admits this, and is doing a major refactor (using his own libraries instead of upstream libraries that have bugs he can't fix.) OpenShot 2.0 is due well before the end of the year. He launched a Kickstarter this spring and claims to be well along the way in the development process.
2.0 will also be supported on Windows and Mac, but the improvements will still be part of the Linux version as well. _________________ Ignorance killed the cat. Curiosity was framed. |
