Silo seems not to be writing on the disk

hello,
i'm having problems with silo on my T1000, it does not seem to be getting written to the disk.
here's my silo.conf and my obp output when i do a boot disk:

#device=/dev/sda
#device=/pci@7c0/pci@0/pci@8/scsi@2/disk@0,0
#I have tried with this two device directives (and with no device directive)
and it does not get installed on the Disk

partition = 1
root = /dev/sda1
timeout = 10
image = /boot/kernel-2.6.22

I'm kind of lost here, i've run silo in all the ways i can think of (silo -f, silo -f -u, silo -f -C /etc/silo.conf) but it still does not write to the disk.
