Hi,
I've been using linux for a while mostly for scientific applications (i.e. not a kernel hacker). One of the apps that I use most is octave which takes a compile flag that allows dynamic linking of new c++ code. Where in the ebuild of octave can I find out if this is activated, or how do I turn it on myself?
Thanks

The code is dynamically linked, but I think that the neccesary compile flag is --enable-shared. All the rpm binaries I've seen aren't compiled this way (one of the things that got me started compliling my own apps which led to switching distros to gentoo). Thanks again
