After 2 years using ONLY Linux I didn't found a file-manager that I REALLY Like.
I wanna know wich is, in your opinion, the best file-manager and wich feature(s) make it the best.
Cya!

As a KDE user, I used konqueror for some time, but I found it to sluggish. I found in dolphin a reasonable replacement - light wight and still KDE/Qt-based - but I must admit it is still unfinished. I hope they improve it for KDE4.
I recently installed KDE for a costumer, and he wanted something like total commander - And the solution was krusader.

I didn't really answer your question: I guess at lot depends on what you like or how you want to work...

cheers
V.

hi, use mc or bash-shell

nautilus is getting better; krusader is for me like bells and whistles.

Thunar is pretty solid, and Rox is good fun (esp if you ever used RiscOS!)
