I am trying to get a wireless PCMCIA card to work on a AMD Geode GX x86 SBC. I have tried the wireless card on with a LiveCD on a normal laptop computer and it works just fine, but when trying to use it on the SBC it does not seem to work at all. I am using a Wireless LAN NL-2511CD PLUS EXT2.

Heres what I know so far:

running lspcmcia on the SBC results in:
Socket 0 Bridge: [yent_cardbus] (bus ID: 0000:00:09.0)
Socket 0 Device 0: [-- no driver --] (bus ID: 0.0)

on the laptop it displays 'orinoco-cs' instead of no driver

iwconfig has two wifi connections each listing this:
IEEE 802.11-DS ESSID:"test"
Mode:Master
Encryption key:off

here are some partial listings of dmesg
Yenta: CardBus bridge found at 0000:00:09.0 [5678:1234]
Yenta: Using CSCINT to route CSC interrupts to PCI
Yenta: Routing CardBus interrupts to PCI
Yenta TI: socket 0000:00:09.0, mfunc 0x01c01c02, devctl 0x64
Yenta TI: socket 0000:00:09.0 probing PCI interrupt failed, trying to fix
Yenta TI: socket 0000:00:09.0 no PCI interrupts. Fish. Pleas report.
Yenta: no PCI IRQ, CardBus support disabled for this socket.
Yenta: check your BIOS CardBus, BIOS IRQ or ACPI settings.
...three lines later
pccard: PCMCIA card inserted into slot 0
..then later
pcmcia: registering new device pcmcia0.0
..then later
orinoco_cs
0.0: RequestIRQ: Resource in use

then it tires to use the hostap_cs

Sorry about all the lack of information, but I am not able to get the SBC onto the internet to copy and paste the outputs of all the commands. if you need more information please let me know

thanks
