Hi,
I have stayed 2 hours now to try to start apache. Reemerged it, deleted the init script etc config files and the apache2 folder, root folder and still no way it will start.

/etc/init.d/apache2 will do nothing.. nothing in logs.

Please help.

Thank you

Moved from Portage & Programming to Networking & Security.

If you updated expat make sure to rebuild all installed versions of apr and apr-util. Run revdep-rebuild -X --library expat.so.0

If the standard start method

/etc/init.d/apache2 start

does nothing, then start it on the command line and watch for problems.
