I wasn't trying to quote anyone in particular, and I am not sure that good wine comes in jugs. Nonetheless, that's a good quote and a good sentiment.

I hate apps that don't read PAGER envvar nor ask which pager I wan't to use (like gdb).

Can't you read up and down in more with vi bindings (JKIM, or whatever)? I don't remember, it's been a while since I've been stuck on a system with only more.
