For example in one terminal compile 2 or 3 packages while in a second and third compile different packages? Is there any reason why it could cause problems?

It generally works for me - I just make sure they have separate dependencies so they're not both trying to install the same thing redundantly. However, there usually isn't any advantage to doing this.
