hi,

i emerged xfce - looks good and is fast :-)

:-)

the only problem:
opening a console shows a non-user prompt

Code:

bash-2.05a$

a whoami gives the current user

there is iho a problem reading the .bashXXX - does anyone know a fix?

Do a search on bashrc, up above under the Search option for more info. Big hint if your display works in CL mode then copy /etc/profile to ~/.bashrc.
