I am trying to emerge mplayer but I get these errors:

Code:

!!! ERROR: sys-devel/gcc-3.3.6-r1 failed.
Call stack:
  ebuild.sh, line 1615:   Called dyn_compile
  ebuild.sh, line 972:   Called qa_call 'src_compile'
  ebuild.sh, line 44:   Called src_compile
  ebuild.sh, line 1305:   Called toolchain_src_compile
  toolchain.eclass, line 26:   Called gcc_src_compile
  toolchain.eclass, line 1537:   Called gcc_do_make
  toolchain.eclass, line 1411:   Called die

!!! emake failed with bootstrap-lean
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, and the call stack if relevant.
!!! A complete build log is located at '/var/tmp/portage/sys-devel/gcc-3.3.6-r1/temp/build.log'.

A little higher up it also says:
Code:

cc1: error: bad value (pentium-m) for -march= switch
cc1: error: bad value (pentium-m) for -mcpu= switch

I am trying this on a pentium-m with gcc 4.1.2. I think this is related to my make.conf file but I don't know what to do:

Code:

CFLAGS="-O2 -march=pentium-m -pipe"
FEATURES="parallel-fetch ccache"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
USE="X aac aalib acpi aim alsa amd animgif ao aoss automount avi
     bash-completion bittorrent cdr cpudetection dbus dell divx dvd dvdnav
     dvdr dvi enca exif fat ffmpeg firefox flac ftp gaim gdm gif gimp gmedia gnome
     gphoto2 grammar gstreamer gtk hal icons ieee1394 imap ipod java
     javascript jpeg keyring latex libcaca math mime mmx mmxext mp3 mp4 mpeg
     mpeg2 mplayer nat nautilus network networkmanager nvidia ogg opengl oss
     pcmcia pdf png polling posix rar real realmedia samba sse sse2 svg
     symlink tiff truetype type1 usb vim vim-syntax vorbis widescreen wifi
     win32codecs wma wmp xcf xml xscreensaver xvid"

Does mplayer use its own version of gcc? Thanks.
