It is so strange that today I see .exe in gentoo system.
When I emerge -uDN world,I see follows:
Emerging (2 of 136) media-fonts/corefonts-1-r2 to /
http://gentoo.netnitco.net/distfiles/times32.exe'
>>> Downloading 'http://gentoo.netnitco.net/distfiles/comic32.exe'
Does it secure. _________________ Gentoo(~x86)+fvwm && Debian+gnome

Yeah, Microsoft fonts are packaged as .exe. I think they're self extracting executables or something. They worried me too once. _________________ Half-life/Source/Urban Terror/Unreal control panel -> www.opengamepanel.org

Gentoo has USE flags for a highly configurable system.
Microsoft has SUE flags to stifle innovation |

They're self-extracting CAB files if I remember correctly. No executable code is run from these files, they're extracted using native tools. |
