Questa notte ho compilato la nuova release 3.5.7 di kde.
A parte adesso un piccolo bug grafico all'avvio, la schermata di avvio praticamente crasha 
Ho notato un problema ben più grave.
Tutti i pacchetti gnome-base o dipendenti da gnome installati crashano alla compilazione, per esempio:

Mi viene da piangere, andava così tutto bene. Poi rilasciano aggiornamenti che ti obbligano a riformattare tutto

Ahem..... dovresti postare l'errore che sta per l'appunto qualche riga sopra a quelle che hai postato.
Comunque prima di disperarti prova a lanciare revdep-rebuild e poi tenta di nuovo.

ho lanciato revdep rebuild, stessi errori su tutti i pacchetti
Ecco l'errore completo:

La fregatura è che ora anche dbus e hal non vanno, hanno qualeche dipendenza di queste.
Adesso ho provato a lanciare un emerge gettext e riesco a compilare i primi!!!!!

Cmq ragazzi c'è una cosa che non capisco.
Io da quando ho installato Gentoo, ho cercato di fare in modo di installare programmi integrati con KDE. Ora, dopo 10 mesi, se lancio un emerge, mi ritrovo a dovermi installare programmi che non voglio, come nautilus, gnome-desktop, seamonkey, epiphany, gnome-panel, control-center ecc. Perché devo installare questi software quando ho già konqueror, firefox e vari? come faccio a eliminare tutte questi pacchetti inutili nel mio sistema?
Perché ci sono tutte queste dipendenze? Perché un utente è costretto ad installarsi mezzo gnome quando non lo usa? Mi viene voglia di piallare tutto il sistema

Il problema con la compilazione e' dovuto ad expat e il thread relativo e' problemi durante l'upgrade di expat. Nella maggior parte dei casi, basta leggere il messaggio alla fine dell'emerge di tale pacchetto, dove viene indicato di eseguire .
Riguardo alle applicazioni "indesiderate" presenti nel sistema, controlla le USE e guarda chi dipende da cosa.
qdep, equery, emerge -t sono tuoi amici.
Chiudo il topic perche':- duplicato
- aperto nella sezione errata
- tratta piu' argomenti
