compiling grub-1.95

I've been trying to compile grub-1.95, however: the compilation fails with the error "get lzo > 1.02". Well, i have 2.02-r1 installed, under /usr/lib64. I noticed that emerge grub-1.95 gives --libdir=/lib32 to configure, where no lzo is installed... Now, what do i do???

Is there a way for me to emerge lzo under /lib32? Or any other solutions?

PS: The reason i'm trying to emerge the latest version of grub is, i get error code 21 on boot --which might've it's origins in jmicron controller. If someone knows another way around this, without getting the highly experimental version of grub, it's another story of course.

You must download grub from the site or svn.Untar it.
Then you must run"

./configure
make
make install

in its directory.

Portage ebuild is broken- it uses "econf" and "emake".Econf can not find lzo lib. :wink:
