While trying to install MS WXP on my DAMN FINE PIECE OF IBM THINKPAD it halts with following message:

Quote:
A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

If this is the first time you'v seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated.
RUN CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart computer.

Technical information:

*** STOP: 0x0000007B (0xF88B6524,0xC0000034,0x00000000,0x00000000)

And PC-BSD is working just fine... MS forced me to use BSD....

P.S. I tried everything: cleaned hdd with IBM/Hitachi hdd utility, made partition with DOS, rebooted couple of times...

Microsoft has a site where they say something like "Installing an OS besides the original OS that came with your computer is dangerous" and in the future we might not be able to install GNU/Linux or BSD so we need to fight tc
