Xerox Workcentre 3119 printer
You need to have CUPS and SANE so

Code:
~ $ USE="usb gimp gphoto2" emerge media-gfx/sane-frontends app-text/ghostscript-esp -a
(you probaly only need "usb")

These are the packages that would be merged, in order:

Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild  N    ] sys-libs/libieee1284-0.2.1  USE="-doc"
[ebuild   R   ] app-text/ghostscript-esp-8.15.3
[ebuild  N    ] media-gfx/sane-backends-1.0.18-r2  USE="gphoto2 ipv6 usb -v4l"
[ebuild  N    ] media-gfx/sane-frontends-1.0.14  USE="gimp"

Looks OK for me, emerge...

There is a CD with all the software but I downloaded the new wersion from
http://www.support.xerox.com/
unzip the 3119Linux.zip to BLAH/
copy autorun.inf to BLAH/

If you do not have the "autorun.inf" (why you need this in linux, I have no idea) use nano and write one:

Code:
[autorun]
open=autorun.exe
icon=autorun.exe, 0

[Pictures]
Common=Pictures
LanguagePage=Pictures/Language
MainPage=Pictures/Main
ModelPage=Pictures/Model
BonusPage=Pictures/Bonus
DriverPage=Pictures/Driver

[Model_1]
ModelName=WorkCentre 3119 Series
SmartMedia=0
DriversDir=wc3119
URL_English=http://www.xerox.com
URL_Korean=http://www.xerox.com

English=1
Finnish=0
French=0
German=0
Italian=0
Japanese=0
Korean=0
Norwegian=0
Portuguese=0
Russian=0
Spanish=0
Swedish=0
Taiwanese=0

Code:
ls BLAH/

Linux     autorun.inf

After successful MFP software installation I added a new printer in CUPS http://localhost:631/ (do not forget to plug in the printer to USB port!)
If you see a printer "wc3119" with "Device URI: file:/dev/null", delete it... unless you like to save some paper and trees by printing to /dev/null ;)
I got the missing rastertosamsungspl error. (/usr/libexec/cups/filter/rastertosamsungspl)
The rastertosamsungspl on the Xerox CD and in the 3119Linux.zip is crap (maybe works for you).

Get one from Samsung.

http://www.samsung.com/uk/support/productsupport/download/

I Download the ML-6060N Unified Linux Driver (ver.2.00.93).
Copy the astertosamsung* to /usr/libexec/cups/filter/ , restart CUPS
Code:
/etc/init.d/cupsd restart

Please let us know, if there is better way to do get this printer working and I'll update this HOWTO.

(sorry for the bad grammar)
