Hi all =)

I havn't found anywhere else that might be relevant to post this, so here's a shot:

I've got a Celeron 2.8, 2x320GB SATA in RAID 1 and 2GB of ram

I've enabled high memory support in the kernel but the system is still only reporting less than 1gb... ?_?

Code:

localhost / # free -m
total       used       free     shared    buffers     cached
Mem:           885         57        827          0         25         18
-/+ buffers/cache:         12        872
Swap:         4777          0       4777

It looks like the support isn't there, but i can check /usr/src/linux with a make menuconfig and the option is enabled (4GB = y)

Is there any way I can check the currently installed modules to make sure it's running? lsmod wouldn't show anything as it's built directly into the kernel.

Thanks!

For checking what is currently build into a running kernel you can check /proc/config.gz

IF that doesn't exist, you need to build that into the kernel, ->General Setup->Enable .config support-> Enable access to .config through /proc/config.gz
aka IKCONFIG_PROC
