|
|
I need to install JUnit4.1 for an Eclipse project but the portage only has 3.8.1(3.8.2 masked).
If i import JUnit4.1.jar into the jre library the JUnit test case (with 4.1 syntax) would compile but it doesn't run because it is using a JUnit 3 test runner.
There was a thread about this but that solution was confusing: https://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic-t-510954-highlight-eclipse+junit.html
Is there a better way of launching JUnit 4.1?
All help is appreciated.
Tai
update: nvm i just didn't look close enough into the solution at that page. |

Why not use eclipse 3.3 from the java-gcj-overlay?
EDIT: Actually is a bad idea
gcj is still *ver* experimental.
I managed to get eclipse-3.3 to build but many features have been disabled.
PM me if you got the CVS module to work in 3.3 from the overlay
EDIT2: I ended up using the 3.3 binary from the website. It works really nicely...
I tend to not use binaries usually... but there should be an eclipse-sdk-bin ebuild if you'll ask me _________________ Plasma desktop on Core i7 8086K OC @ 5GHz, 64GB DDR4, 2 x M.2 Samsung 970 PRO 1TB SSDs |
