Hi,
I've now tried to install realplayer via emerge (with *.rpm download to ->distfiles/ first) and lateron I tried the bin version.
Both of it was installed fine. I can also listen to the shipped intro sound, and I see a flash animation when I click on "take five". But I can't play neighter audio/mp3 files nor video/mpeg filed. When the file is opened it says: "unknown error". Is there
Do you have an idea? What would you try next?
Thanks,
Felix |

I would try using a different program to listen to MP3s and watch MPEGs.
Oh, to fix RealPlayer... that's another matter. |

Well, XMMS for music; if you're using KDE, you have noatun already. There's GTV, MPlayer, etc. Just poke around; you can always unmerge it cleanly. |
