I'm curious where I can find exact rules on how portage orders version numbers of packages (ie: the rules it uses to tell which version of the same package is the most recent)
The thing I am curious about is the precedence of *-rX, *_rcX, *_preX, *_pX, and *_betaX where * is packagename-someversion and X is some number.
so basically I'm looking for an order of operations for package versioning.
