Computer: Compaq Presario V6310US (Click here for specs)
CPU: AMD Turion 64 X2
Problem: Computer freezes "randomly". At first I thought it was completely random, but I figured out by running dmesg (or "cat"ing the dmesg log file) that it actually presents itself when there is output coming through. From what I can tell, it also always freezes at the end of a line. When it freezes, I can't do anything but turn off the computer; after a few seconds of being frozen, when I press the touchpad on/off button the touchpad indicator light doesn't even change. I've tried a 64-bit system, and a 32-bit system, it even does it on the LiveCD.
Any ideas? _________________ -Larry The Cow
